Making Front Page tables non resizable Print E-mail

How to make Front Page tables non resizable.

This tutorial is about having a table that doesn't stretch out of proportion and stays the same no matter what browser you use and what size the window it is displayed in.

For the table itself, just specify the size in pixels. It will stay that size and if it's too big for the content, it will show scroll bars so that people can still see the whole text. Specifying the size in percent will have the table stretch all over the place, and if that's what you wanted you wouldn't be reading this tutorial!

But what about getting all the cells in the table to be equally distributed and non resizable also?

To get all cells the same width in a table, every cell column must separately be set to how wide you want it.

If for example I wanted a 100 pixel wide restricted and fixed width table with 4 columns. I would need to either:

A. make every column 25 pixels wide specified width each

B. make every column 25% wide specified width each

When entering the text, type naturally or cut and paste from another source and the table will remain at the exact size you want it and the cells will also stay exactly the same size.

Good luck!
