Mambel Fish and Translation Instructions Print E-mail

How to get a fully billingual Joomla site with no headaches.

1. The template must be billingual, that means both buttons on the banner need to be in French AND English, means that all links need to manually be set to the proper language.

2. The database is shared so there is no need for 2 seperate Joomla installations in for example a "francais" and "english" folder with 2 sqls. It's all done automatically.

Install the language file and then install the joomfish component and joomfish module. The Joomfish component is used to translate and run the site and the joomfish module is used for the drop down language menu that can be seen on the front end.

YOu have to set the language to default in both the language manager and mambel fish, in order to have both language available in the drop down meny they both have to be hooked and set to active, however the default language should be set to order #1.

No SEF testing has been done yet.
