How to use Pony Gallery ML Version 2.5.1

A great Joomla component for the management of gallery pictures and even for the use of flash animated movies is to use Pony Gallery ML Version 2.5.1.  I have tried Expose version 4 but it has some glitches so this Pony Gallery Joomla component works perfectly.

Installation of Pony Gallery Joomla ML component

Dowloaod the file from here, no need to extract the Zip file even if it's doesn't have the usual _com suffixe that most Joomla components carry.

Set the width to 600-800 depending on the template from the "general" settings tab.

Ftp Images manually in the ftp folder in the Pony Gallery folder.

Go on the FTP upload tab and all images will be there.

The front end settings tab will let you choose how to display the pictures, the best way is alphabetical or by numers depending on the sequence you choose.

Light box should be selected in Detail view tab.

View should be set to default in Pony Gallery ML category view tab.

Set up and management of images in Pony Gallery Joomla Component

Name images with numbers, 1.,2,3 ect...after uploading the images by hand in FTP. Go to picture manager and rearrange the order.

Then go into configuration, front end settings and use the "ascending by orering number". This will result in the images actually being displayed in the proper order.
