Joomla Inquiry Print E-mail

Thanks Bruno,

Perhaps I will download Joomla and start learning it.

I do have a little experience in creating menus etc.

But I'm sure I will have a problem when I have to create the page in where the user has the first 3 lesson free, then has to pay for the rest.

They enter their payment info, then they get access to the rest of the online lessons.

We will have 3 type of lessons, all of which need to be payed for separately, so they will get something like a registration number when they pay.

So I will also need a database to store their registration number etc...

The other service will be translation, they email us the document, we give a quote, they go online and pay for the service...enter the quote cost, then we translate it.

Email it to them, with some sort of confirmation they got it, and this also will all get entered into a data base.

It is this type of help I will probably need.

How does it usually work. Do you create the web page etc., then I put in on my site??

Thanks again for your help,

Laurie

Hi Laurie,

Thank you for contacting us. If you plan to sell online language lessons I recommend you use Joomla(www.joomla.org) to build your site.

Joomla, like NVU is free and open source software, very, very powerful but quite complex at the start. However, once you tame the beast it can do wonders!

Front page is ok for static sites but if you plan to ad any interactive and dynamic elements it would be very difficult and expensive to get anything done.

If you hire us to do your site we can ad multiple interactive elements to complement an ESL website like the ability to upload and download documents, currency converter, user registration and login, local weather module, live help ect...all of this for under $500. We can also offer the site in multiple language versions accessible via a simple drop down menu (for an extra fee per language).

If we design a banner for you it is yours to keep forever. We hand over the copyrights to you because you paid for it.

Regardless of if you hire us or not, please feel free to ask us any questions you may have. We are also in the process of publishing 300 free e-books, when available online you can browse categories and find some web design tips ebooks.

Thank you,

Bruno

This is an enquiry e-mail via
http://www.anonsolutions.com from:

I would like to build my website using frontpage 2000 and Nvu. This site would be selling online language lessons and translation services.

My question is, if I get stuck building a page, do you give support? And what would be the pricing?

Also, if you help with the banner for example, does it become my property after i buy it, or do you retain the ownership. Does this also apply to webdesign?

thanks

Laurie
